True Meaning of Marriage

“True Meaning of Marriage” The true meaning of marriage is love. By love, I mean not just what we feel but what we do. Love just as a feeling is very flimsy, an up and down roller coaster. Love is an action! In order for it to become the ultimate force and for us to rediscover the true meaning of marriage, love has to be unconditional. You are not looking for acceptance or validation. You are giving of yourself to another not because of them, but because of your values. A death to ones self so that another may live and benefit from your sacrifice. This is not an easy road to walk. But it is the most rewarding road however. An old Buddhist saying goes like this, ‘I want peace.’ If you take your ego (I) and your desires (want) out of the equation, i.e., the self, you will have only peace left. The true meaning of marriage is expressing love unconditionally to another. It is an unstoppable force that can endure anything. How do you find it? Within yourself. You have to draw strength from you. Neither seeking validation nor acceptance, just seeking the opportunity to show love.

Bridal Shows

On Saturday, January 7th, 2012 Elite Wedding & Event Planning had the pleasure to assist The Springfield Bridal Expo @ Home of the Big E grounds in Springfield Massachusetts. I had an extremely great time since for me ‘Bridal Shows” is like being in a toy store, lol you had to see me I literatly was opened mouth and just wondering around, gathering magazines, papers, ideas, tasting cake, cookies wow it goes on and on, until I sat down and watched the fashion show. Here I am just sharing some pictures not much because I was really busy networking with other professionals and did not want to seem rude, by moving aside and take pictures,.

Glass with style

I took the time to add some style on some wine glass I had which looked alittle plain.
On the first one I glued some simple mini flowers, which was used at my sons wedding.
The next one I twisted some white beaded christmas decor, I created a different look on each.

These other sets was created as gifts for brides, I purchased paint for ceramics and scribbled several colored circles, and a bow you can add names, dates, or just a thank you engraving.
Please be on the look for more diy wedding ideas.
